ESNAAD, an Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) company, held its annual Iftar event recently.

During the course of the evening, Darwish Al Qubaisi, general manager, presented awards to the best employees and contractors.

In line with the company's objective to enhance performance and promote a sense of ownership, a reward and motivation scheme has been set up by the Task Force for Motivation and Reward to optimise performance, enhance HSE functions and reward indispensable employees.

* Health, Safety and Environment Award: Presented to a number of employees and one division that demonstrates the best performance in regard to HSE improvements.

Nominated employees are evaluated based on proactive contributions to improving HSE functions and interaction with HSE division.

Division performance will be assessed in functions such as Toolbox meetings, reporting of hazard and near miss incidents, accident investigation and HSE Management System implementation.

* Quality Award: Presented to best performers in enhancing business process and maintaining efficient Quality Management System (ISO 9001).

* Best Employee Award: Employees from different divisions are awarded based on work performance, teamwork ethics and relationship with colleagues and HSE and quality contributions.

* Employee of the Year Award: recognises one employee selected from the winners of the best employee award at the end of the year.

* Best Teamwork Award: Based on work productivity, the general manager will select a winner work group from task forces and committees in the company.
