Dolphin Energy has started delivering gas to Oman, as part of the key Qatar-UAE-Oman natural gas grid which was planned in 1999, a report said.
This deal follows a 25-year Gas Sales Agreement struck in 2005, according to the Gulf News report.
The company produces gas offshore Qatar, processed at its Ras Laffan plant and then pumped to its facilities in Abu Dhabi for retail distribution.
Gas is supplied to Oman through Dolphin's Eastern Gas Distribution System to Al Ain, where it joins with a new Omani pipeline on the Oman border.
While Mubadala Development Company, on behalf of the Government of Abu Dhabi has a 51 per cent stake in Dolphin, USA's Occidental Petroleum and France's Total hold 24.5 per cent each.
