Status: EPC Contract Award
Location: Abu Hadriyah Fadhli &   Kuisaniyah
Project Status:
A contract for the Design Basic Scoping Paper (DBSP) was awarded to Foster Wheeler in August 2004. This was scheduled to be completed by the end of October 2004.
As of late October 2004, there is now an enhanced DBSP underway which is expected to be completed by January 2005.
It was believed that the project proposal will be conducted in early November 2004.
SOI for PMC contract were issued on October  26, 2004. On November 1, 2004, a project exchange meeting was held.
A jobex meeting was held in Bahrain on January 4, 2005. The meeting was attended by:- Bechtel, Fluor Daniel, Parsons, Snamprogetti, SNC Lavalin and Technip
The selected contractor for the project will be responsible for both FEED as well as the Main contract.
Saudi Aramco have departed from their usual LSTK type contract for a cost plus re-imbursible one in Phase I.
Contractors were invited to sumbit bids by January 29, 2005. The EPC contract was awarded to Bechtel/ Technip in late February 2005.
A formal contract between Aramco and Bechtel/Technip was signed on March 15, 2005. Construction was ongoing as of mid-2005.
As of mid September 2005, the contract for the pipelines section was awarded to Saudi Techint.
As of mid-November 2005, CCC was awarded a LSTK subcontract to provide associated works for the gas plant.
Project Scope
The project consists of developing the Abu Hadriah Fadhli & Kursaniyah oil and gas fields. The gas will be gathered in Abu Hadriya and then transported to a new GOSP and Gas Plant for processing in Khursaniyah.
The objective of the project is to produce 500 MBCD of AL (Arabian Light) crude oil and process 1,000 MMSCFD of associated sour gas. In addition to this 80 MBOD of liquid hydrocarbon condensate.
The project will be divided into the following facilities :
(i) KPF (Khursaniyah Producing Facilities) which will produce 500 MBCD of AL Crude. This will involve 450 MBCD of water injection.
(ii) KGP (Khursaniyah Gas Plant) which will process
The KPF & KGP projects will be executed in two stages. The first Phase will be cost plus reimbursable and will include :
(i) Initial Detail Design (50-60%).
(ii) Procurement of equipment & bulk materials.
(iii) Award main construction sub contracts.
In Phase II CLSTK (Converted LSTK) contracts will be based upon Proforma CLSTK annexed to the cost plus reimbursable OOK/IK contracts.
The scope of work for KGP includes:
 3 x Gas Treatment Trains (1 x 440 MM HP DGA + 2 x 280 MM LP DGA)
