The onshore Dukhan oilfield contains the bulk of Qatar's proven oil reserves.
The field, the sole onshore producer in the country with an approximate capacity of 400,000 bpd, has proven, recoverable reserves of approximately 2.5 billion barrels, out of a national total of approximately 3.7 billion barrels.
The produced crude is exported as the 41 deg API Dukhan stream.
The Dukhan field is witnessing a large drilling programme, with existing wells being sidetracked to sustain production, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) programmes being started and minor reservoirs being developed.
New facilities such as compressors and flowlines are also being installed.
