A nderson Greenwood Instrumentation Products, a division of Tyco Valves & Controls, has developed the Intellimount instrument manifold system, a standardised system offering flexible design together with substantial savings for the customer, according to the company.

Intellimount provides a unique two-piece system. The first module provides process isolation for either primary or instrument and is available with either single or double block. The block module can also be bracketed to provide overall support for the complete assembly.

The second, or instrument, module is connected to the instrument and provides vent, calibrate and equalise functions.

This module can be removed from the block module to allow the instrument to be workshop-calibrated.

Intellimount, designed to substantially reduce the number of leak points, flanged joints or welded connections existing in conventional systems, dramatically reduces weight and space requirements while cutting down field installation time, the company says.

The system can be supplied fully pressure-tested and assembled ready for installation (either field mounting to a 2" NB pipes stand or mounting directly onto the pressure tapping). Anderson Greenwood is also able to provide the assembly and testing of pressure or differential pressure transmitters.

The DP manifold type consists of a double process block isolation module and double vent / isolation and single equalise instrument module, while the GP version has a process block isolation module and double vent / isolation.

Intellimount allows the block module to provide high-integrity isolation for impulse lines. The instrument module provides a breakaway connection for the pressure transmitter during removal or calibration.

Intellimount is also available to mount dual instruments such as 2 x differential pressure or 1 x differential pressure and 1 x static pressure transmitters. Dual mounting further reduces the number of connection, and possible leakage, points.
