Background

The new Hasbah scheme will expand the production capacity of the offshore field by an additional 2 billion cubic feet a day (bcfd), which will then be piped onto the onshore Fadhili gas plant.

 

Project status

October 2016: Aramco currently evaluating bids within its LTA program for an EPC involving fabrication and installation of jackets and observation platforms for the Hasbah and Berri fields. Decision is expected by the end of October.

 

Project scope

The new Hasbah Field Increment II offshore and onshore facilities will expand the production capacity of the field by an additional 2 billion cubic feet a day (bcfd), which will be piped to the onshore under-development Fadhili gas plant.

The scope includes engineering detail design, procurement of equipment and materials, fabrication, construction, transportation, installation, hook-up, testing and pre-commissioning for the following:

• Six (6) unmanned (4 well) Offshore Wellhead Platform (design flowrate of each WHP – 540 MMSCFD) – 4 level 4

• Two (2) unmanned Tie-in platforms (HSBS TP2 & TP3) (including jackets) with flare platform and
bridges

• Pipelines

• Flowlines

• Umbilicals

• Submarine Composite Cables

• Onshore Beach Valve Station and Modification on MRJN GOSP 2 & 3

The wellhead platform’s topsides consist of a 4-level deck plus helideck structure comprising of Cellar deck, Main deck, Mezzanine deck and Upper deck. Hasbah field is located 150 Km northeast of Jubail, 250 Km north of Dhahran.
