Bahrain’s commitment to advancing its energytransition through innovation and strategic partnerships has been highlightedby Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King forHumanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of Bapco Energies.

He underscored Bapco Energies' dedication to fosteringdevelopment, innovation, and the adoption of modern technologies to support thegrowth of key sectors.

The comments came during his meeting with Ezra Yacoub,Chairman and CEO of EOG Resources. The meeting was attended by Mark Thomas,Group CEO of Bapco Energies; Faisal Al Mahroos, Chairman of Bapco Explorationand Production; and Johann Pleininger, CEO of Bapco Upstream.

Shaikh Nasser emphasised Bahrain’s ongoing collaborationwith global energy leaders to establish sustainable partnerships that supportthe national economy, enhance infrastructure, and optimise natural resources,in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

Shaikh Nasser noted that the energy sector is undergoing asignificant transformation, focused on achieving energy security and fosteringsustainable development through initiatives aimed at attracting foreigninvestment.

He added that these efforts are guided by Bahrain’s nationalenergy strategy and Bapco Energies' operational plans, developed incoordination with relevant entities.

Shaikh Nasser further highlighted the importance of regionalcompetition in attracting investments and strengthening economic integration,particularly in sectors such as oil and gas.
