Global business travel leader ATPI is launching a carbon offset project in Brazil’s Acre state, backed by Brazil’s Petrobras, to accelerate climate action and support industry decarbonisation goals.

The project, called Envira REDD+, protects over 39,000 hectares of tropical rainforest and offers long-term benefits to local communities through sustainable development and governance.

The initiative, which has received backing from Netflix and Lavazza, is part of ATPI Halo’s global carbon compensation portfolio and is part of a suite of forestry and rehabilitation-based projects across Africa, Asia, Central America, and Europe. The project is part of ATPI’s Halo portfolio, which has sold over 50,000 carbon credits.
