The Zayed Sustainability Prize has closed submissions for its 2027 awards after receiving a record 10,233 entries from 177 countries, a 32 per cent increase over the previous cycle.  

Climate Action received the highest number of submissions. 

More than two-thirds of entries came from developing and emerging economies. 

Winners, to be announced on January 12, 2027, will share prize funding of up to $1 million per organisational category, with grants also awarded to high schools and finalists.
