CWP Global is fast-tracking its host government agreement with Mauritania for the $40 billion AMAN green hydrogen project.
The project will deploy 30 GW of renewables to produce 1.7 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually, potentially boosting Mauritania’s GDP by 40–50 per cent by 2030.
Experts highlighted green hydrogen’s role in driving socioeconomic development, electricity access, and regional industrial growth.
Mauritania’s government views the project as central to its energy vision, leveraging green hydrogen to create value, foster collaboration, and support sustainable development across the MSGBC region.
