The G8 device can detect over 20 gases
Blackline Safety has launched the G8, its advanced connected wearable to date, designed to unify gas detection, lone worker protection, and communication in a single rugged device.
Building on the G7 platform, G8 provides real-time data streaming to the cloud, keeping safety and operations teams informed while enhancing productivity.
The device features advanced gas detection with swappable cartridges for over 20 gases, fall and health monitoring, and dual-band GNSS/GPS for accurate positioning.
ZoneAware geofencing enables improved site oversight, while three communication modes: Push-to-Talk, emergency voice calls, and text messaging, ensure workers stay connected in any situation.
G8 also prioritises usability, offering a 64-colour backlit display, NFC TagAssign for quick device setup, and a built-in flashlight.
Live cloud data integrates with Blackline Live for actionable insights, and the platform is designed for future digital worksite integrations, firmware updates, and emerging technologies, making G8 a versatile solution for safer, smarter industrial operations.
"G8 gives workers access to the tools and information they need to confidently get the job done and get home safe," said Cody Slater, CEO and Chair, Blackline Safety.
