STATS Group has launched the SureTap Plug, a dual seal completion plug designed to maintain Double Block and Bleed (DBB) isolation throughout hot tapping and line stopping operations.

It addresses a critical safety vulnerability in conventional plugs, which rely on a single O-ring that cannot be independently tested at completion.

The SureTap Plug features two independent compression seals with a testable intermediate annulus, allowing verification of seal integrity and plug positioning before temporary valves are removed.

Hydraulically actuated with multiple mechanical fail-safes, it prevents differential pressure unless fully engaged.

Offering improved sealing, operational efficiency, and suitability for hydrocarbons, hydrogen, and high-pressure carbon systems, the plug supports both temporary and permanent applications, compatible with standard hot tap machines and reducing deployment costs.
