Adnoc Gas has signed a 10-year LNG sales and purchase agreement with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL), valued at about $3 billion, formalising a previously agreed Heads of Agreement.

The deal covers the export of 0.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG and strengthens the strategic energy partnership between the UAE and India.

Supplies will come from Adnoc Gas’ Das Island LNG facility, one of the world’s longest-operating plants.
