Oman Energy Association (OPAL) and Saudi company Takamol Holding signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Muscat to develop professional competencies and enhance skill and accreditation systems, supporting improved labour market outputs.
The partnership focuses on implementing OPAL’s Professional Licensing Programme, verifying skills of recruited professionals, and aligning with sector requirements and Oman Vision 2040 nationalisation targets.
It also aims to facilitate GCC workforce mobility and strengthen regional cooperation.
Takamol will leverage its expertise in digital platforms, professional verification, and examination sys-tems to improve labour market efficiency, reliability of skill assessments, and workforce development.
The collaboration includes technical integration, professional standards, question banks, and the poten-tial establishment of testing centres in labour-sending countries, promoting transparency, efficiency, and sustainable workforce development in Oman.
