Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea have signed a unitisation agreement to jointly develop the cross-border Yoyo-Yolanda gas fields, part of Equatorial Guinea’s Gas Mega Hub (GMH) initiative.
Containing 2.5 trillion cu ft (Tcf) of gas, the project leverages existing infrastructure at Alen and Punta Europa, with Chevron’s Noble Energy units as operators.
The agreement signals commitment and bankability to investors, supporting accelerated gas monetisation, regional energy security, and industrial growth. Yoyo-Yolanda will also advance Cameroon’s 2035 energy access goals, expand local content, and catalyse broader Gulf of Guinea exploration, reinforcing the region’s emerging gas investment potential.
