OE27 will explore the future of Europe’s energy landscape

David Latin, Chair of Serica Energy, and Yaniv Friedman, Executive Chairman of Ithaca Energy, have been appointed to lead the conference and executive committee for SPE Offshore Europe 2027 (OE27), taking place at P&J Live in Aberdeen from September 7–9, 2027.

Established in 1973, SPE Offshore Europe has grown into one of Europe’s leading offshore energy events, bringing together global industry leaders, policymakers and technical specialists to discuss the future of the sector.

The conference will provide a platform for sharing technical expertise, market insights and practical solutions to help companies manage uncertainty, reduce risk and make informed business decisions.

The 2027 edition will address the challenges facing Europe’s energy landscape, including geopolitical pressures, regulatory changes and investment uncertainty.

While renewable energy continues to expand, discussions will also recognise the ongoing role of oil and gas within an integrated energy system for the coming decades.

The technical programme will be expanded to include more papers and sessions than previous editions and will be co-chaired by Irene Brekne Hamre, Managing Director of North Sea GeoZone at Baker Hughes, and Edna Michelle Bisso Bi Mba, Head of Reservoir Services at Harbour Energy.

SPE Offshore Europe is organised by The Offshore Europe Partnership, a joint venture between RX Global and Society of Petroleum Engineers.
