Gastech 2026 will convene global energy leaders, policymakers, investors and technology innovators in Bangkok from September 14-17, 2026, focusing on energy security, electrification, natural gas, LNG and artificial intelligence (AI). 

The 54th edition of the event is expected to attract more than 50,000 attendees, including 8,000 delegates, 1,000 speakers, 1,000 exhibitors and participants from 150 countries, creating a platform for investment, innovation and international collaboration across the energy sector. 

The strategic conference will address major challenges shaping global energy systems, including geopolitical tensions, rising electricity demand and the accelerating energy transition. 

Natural gas and LNG will remain key themes, with discussions covering market competitiveness, cross-border investments, contracting strategies and Asia’s growing demand for energy. 

Sessions will explore how gas and LNG can support grid stability, industrial growth and diversification alongside renewables, nuclear power and energy storage. 

The electrification programme will examine ways utilities, investors and policymakers can accelerate secure and resilient power infrastructure to meet demand driven by AI data centres, digitalisation and industrialisation. 

AI will feature prominently at Gastech, with sessions focused on hyperscale data centres, electricity needs and the role of AI in improving efficiency, asset management and decision-making. 

Additional discussions will cover hydrogen, low-carbon technologies, carbon management, critical minerals, cybersecurity, financing and industrial decarbonisation. 

The technical and commercial conference will showcase engineering innovations, operational best practices and emerging technologies designed to build more resilient, efficient and sustainable energy systems, while strengthening global cooperation and supporting future energy sector development.
