Masdar, Abu Dhabi's future energy company, has invested in Spain's largest solar PV project, Valle Solar, through its subsidiary Saeta. The project, initially promoted by Genia Solar Energy and Solar Ventures, is the next step in Masdar's expansion in Spain and driving growth in the renewable energy sector.

Valle Solar, located in Ayora, Jarafuel, and Zarra, is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027 and will consist of a 234MW photovoltaic plant with the potential to add a hybridization of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) of 259MW.

The project integrates initiatives supporting biodiversity and local communities, reflecting Masdar's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

The acquisition by Saeta underscores Masdar's commitment to Spain's energy transformation and its growth plans in the Iberian Peninsula and Europe.

The agreement between Saeta Yield, Genia Solar, and Solar Ventures establishes Valle Solar as an exemplary model of sustainable development, combining clean energy production with respect for the environment and community commitment.-TradeArabia News Service
