Corinth Pipeworks has secured a $200–250 million contract to supply line pipe for the Rovuma LNG Phase 1 Project in Mozambique, strengthening its position in the global offshore energy market.
Awarded by the Area 4 Partners, led by ExxonMobil Moçambique
as delegated operator, the contract covers around 250 km, or 120,000 tonnes, of
LSAW linepipe ranging from 20 to 24 inches in diameter.
The pipe will support the project’s offshore pipeline
network and include anti-corrosion and concrete weight coatings.
Manufacturing will take place at Corinth Pipeworks’
facilities in Thisvi, Greece.
The company said the linepipe is designed to withstand
demanding deepwater gas operating conditions.
The award highlights Corinth Pipeworks’ manufacturing
capabilities, quality assurance and experience delivering engineered solutions
for complex offshore and subsea infrastructure.
The Rovuma LNG project also expands the company’s
international offshore footprint and strengthens its role in major energy
infrastructure developments.
Ilias Bekiros, Corinth Pipework’s General Manager, added:
"We are proud to be selected for the Rovuma LNG Project, one of the most
significant energy developments currently underway worldwide. This award
reflects the confidence that leading energy operators place in Corinth
Pipeworks' technical capabilities, manufacturing excellence and ability to
successfully execute complex offshore projects. It further reinforces our
position as a trusted partner for critical energy infrastructure on a global
scale." -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
