Siemens UK & Ireland has announced the appointment of Murray Blyth to a senior leadership role in Scotland as part of an ongoing customer investment commitment.

The newly created position of Scottish Business Leader will focus on supporting Siemens’ large industrial customer base across Scotland, as well as offering specialist automation, digitalisation and drive technology solutions for three key market sectors: Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas and Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals.

Murray moves to his new position from his current role as Siemens Account Development Manager for the Distilled Spirits sector, which has seen him develop key relationships with major whisky manufacturers. Prior to this, he held various management and global account manager positions.

Murray Blyth comments: 'This new role will allow us to strengthen our focus and support for Scottish customers. I’m looking forward to helping lead the Siemens team in Scotland as we look to further assist our important existing customer base, as well as expand our business in some diverse markets. By strategically focusing on three key industrial sectors, we hope to help them grow through a collaborative approach using our sector expertise and specialists.'
