STC in its 12th year, while continuing to be a high-profile event in the region, attracts companies and professionals from across the GCC and the world to exhibit and showcase their technology, products, solutions and business profiles

Some 12,000 industry experts are expected to take part in The Exhibition of the Sabic Technical Conference (STC-12), formerly known as the Sabic Technical Meeting (STM), which is staged every two years alongside the Technical Meeting & Conference series.

The exhibition provides a collaborative technology and innovation platform which, over the years, has become a prominent event representing a unique opportunity for engineers, project owners, operators, scientists, researchers, chemists and technical experts from Sabic and other industrial companies operating within and in collaboration with the Jubail Industrial City, to network and build on cumulative experience.

Taking place this year from November 6 to 9 in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia, the event will mark its 12th edition. The show will be over 30,000 sq m of exhibition space and will be the largest industrial exhibition in Saudi Arabia.

STC has over the years built a reputation for showcasing state-of-the-art technical know-how, expertise and creativity. This high-profile event attracts companies and professionals from across the GCC and the world to exhibit and showcase their technology, products, solutions and business profiles.

STCs serves as a platform from experts from across the globe for positive interaction and constructive debate and discussions covering a wide range of topics, including – Technology Development & Improvement (Product/ Process); Plant Reliability Management; Electrical & Control Systems; Sustainability, Environment Protection, Safety & Health; Quality Assurance & Analytical Technology; Business Development, Management, Quality Systems; Information Technology and more.

The 11th round of Sabic Technical Meeting (STM), under the patronage of Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), was held from November 3 to 5, 2014 at the Multi Event Centre in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia.

The STM has seen a notable growth in the number speakers, visitors and exhibitors that has led to a demand for an increase in the exhibition space from 12,000 sq m to 20,000 sq m.

Organised by Al-Harithy Group – ACE Creative, STM was a specialised meeting where Sabic officials and researchers gathered every other year to exchange technical knowledge and get acquainted state-of-the-art technologies.

The previous edition of the exhibition was touted as the largest exhibition in the kingdom and one of the largest in the Middle East, with the theme ‘Commitment to Reliability & Sustainability. Sabic had invited companies from all over the world to present their latest products, services and technologies to Sabic decision makers and top professionals.

The three-day event included a wide range of technical programmes like keynote speeches, workshops and paper session by experts from Saudi Arabia and other parts of the world.

An exhibition, also part of STM-11, had drawn a growing number of participants over the years, the organisers said. The last event attracted 310 exhibitors from 23 countries.

STM had been attracting leading corporations such as GE, ABB, Siemens, Emerson, Schneider, Shell, Yokogawa, Emerson, Johnson Matthey, Honeywell, Hisaka, Endress & Hauser, 3M, BASF Corporation, HOERBIGER, GEA Group, V Line Group and many others who have participated consecutively in the last three events.

The sectors for STM-11 include petroleum, mineral resources, and chemicals, industry and electricity, infrastructure and development, environment, agriculture and water, communications and electronics, education and training, health and safety, operations and maintenance, and transportation and shipping.
