This year’s 17th Annual Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Forum, the premier networking event within the Arabian Gulf region’s petrochemical and chemical industry, will be held for the first time in Doha, Qatar, under the theme ‘Mobilising Chemistry for Impactful Transformation’.

The forum’s programme is set to highlight the crucial role of chemistry in driving innovation and sustainability in various industries. It will take place from December 4-6, at the Qatar National Convention Centre.

The event will bring together global and regional chemical leaders to discuss topics ranging from sustainability and innovation to portfolio transformation, restructuring to balance costs, achieving true net-zero emissions, and building resilience.

The forum will present a special ministerial address by Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of Energy Affairs, Qatar and President and CEO, QatarEnergy. This will be preceded by welcome remarks from Abdulrahman Al-Fageeh, CEO, SABIC and Chairman, GPCA.

A dedicated fire side chat will discuss ‘Balancing value creation with climate action’, while a CEO keynotes session with speakers Adriano Alfani, CEO, Versalis, and Karen McKee, President, Products Solution, ExxonMobil, will provide a view from the global chemical industry on the opportunities to scale up for the clean energy transition.

Three Leadership Dialogues, will explore the highly important topics of the future of trade, innovation to take advantage of tomorrow’s growth opportunities, and cyber security in the digital era.

For the first time, delegates will attend the inaugural Solutions Xchange – an interactive knowledge-sharing platform, providing practical solutions and insights designed to shape the chemical industry’s future.

Other key features of the forum include a GPCA Youth Forum, GPCA Symposium, GPCA Legacy Award, and Solutions XChange Platform.
