H2SITE, a leading company in hydrogen separation technology and transportation solutions, has partnered with SNAM, a key energy infrastructure operator in Europe, to develop a Pd-alloy membrane separator for hydrogen and natural gas mixture separation.
The separator, capable of extracting hydrogen from 2 per cent to 10 per cent concentrations, will be the largest installation of its kind, achieving high recovery rates and low concentrations.
The separator will be used in fuel cells, gas turbines, engines, and high-temperature ovens, while minimising hydrogen content in the remaining natural gas.
The project strengthens H2SITE's commercial presence in the Italian market and promotes hydrogen integration as a clean and renewable energy source.
