
Brazil has requested to become a full member of the International Energy Agency (IEA), citing its close partnership and the value it provides to its member countries in navigating the complex global energy landscape.
Brazil’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Mines and Energy, Mauro Vieira and Alexandre Silveira, presented the letter to IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol. The letter highlights Brazil’s position as a net oil exporter, diversified energy mix, and increasing role in clean and renewable sources.
