Teledyne FLIR OEM launched Tura the first ASIL-B thermal longwave infrared (LWIR) camera built to ISO 26262 functional safety standards for automotive applications.

Tura’s 640×512 far-infrared sensor delivers high-sensitivity detection of pedestrians, animals, and other road users in darkness, fog, smoke, or glare, supporting night vision, ADAS, and autonomous vehicles.

Partnering with Valeo, Tura enhances pedestrian automatic emergency braking (PAEB) and meets NHTSA FMVSS No. 127 nighttime requirements.

Features include all-weather operation, shutterless AEC-Q components, and AI-optimised integration, enabling reliable, cost-effective, and 360 deg situational awareness for safer driving.
