The 5th Annual Southern Africa Oil & Gas Conference (SAOGC 2026), a platform for driving collaboration, innovation, and sustainable energy growth, aims to highlight how collective effort and responsible development can power the next generation of opportunities in Southern Africa’s oil, gas, and broader energy landscape.

The event will take place on March 16-17, 2026, at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town.

Under the theme, ‘Oil & Gas without Borders: Unlocking Southern Africa’s Shared Future’, the landmark two-day conference will bring together industry leaders, government policymakers, investors, and service providers from across the continent and beyond.

Southern Africa is emerging as a critical pillar of Africa’s energy future, with Namibia’s offshore breakthroughs, South Africa’s onshore gas prospects, including an estimated 60 trillion cu ft (Tcf) of offshore gas resources, and Mozambique’s strategic LNG developments.

The conference provides a timely forum for stakeholders to translate this momentum into responsible development, regional integration, and long-term energy security.

Organised by the South African Oil & Gas Alliance (SAOGA) in collaboration with national stakeholders, including the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources and the Petroleum Agency of South Africa, the event promises to be a pivotal gathering for the region’s energy sector.
