Lomarlabs has partnered with Blaze Energy to pilot a compact, engine-integrated fuel reformer onboard a Lomar vessel, advancing alternative fuel adoption in shipping.

The system converts ammonia, methanol, or LNG into hydrogen, enabling flexible, lower-emission operations.

Tested first with ammonia, it addresses fuel uncertainty and regulatory pressures.

Following lab validation, the 2027 pilot aims to prove real-world performance and support scalable, fuel-flexible decarbonisation pathways for shipowners.
