Sarens, a leader in heavy lifting and engineered transport, executed a major upgrade at Aramco’s Shaybah NGL plant in collaboration with Wison Engineering.

The team designed a custom lifting frame to handle 62 diverse modules, completing 124 precision lifts up to 205 tons using LR1750 and CC2400 cranes transported 750 km to the site.

Over seven months, 16 engineers overcame extreme desert conditions, including temperatures up to 50 deg C and high winds.

The project installed a dew point control unit critical for NGL recovery, supporting Saudi Aramco’s strategy to boost ethane and gas liquids production while creating local jobs.
