The 25th WPC Energy Congress will bring together global energy leaders to examine energy security, supply resilience, affordability and the performance of energy systems.
The event will take place in Riyadh from October 11–15, 2026, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre under the theme “Pathways to an Energy Future for All.”
The congress will be hosted in Saudi Arabia for the first time in the 90-year history of WPC Energy.
Organisers expect more than 25,000 attendees, including over 100 ministers, 500 CEOs and 800 speakers, alongside more than 1,000 exhibiting companies across a 50,000-square-metre exhibition.
The programme will bring together policymakers, producers, investors, technology companies, academics and other industry stakeholders.
The main congress programme and exhibition will run from October 12-15 as part of a wider Riyadh Energy Week, which also includes the IEF17 Ministerial Meeting, GCC energy ministerial engagement, OAPEC programming and the launch of OPEC’s 2026 Annual Statistical Bulletin.
The executive programme will feature ministerial roundtables, CEO-level plenaries and discussions on market outlooks, capital allocation and energy geopolitics.
The technical programme will cover 31 specialist forums across areas including primary supply, infrastructure, emerging fuels, CCUS, digitalisation, AI, hydrogen, critical minerals, refining and petrochemicals.
The congress will also feature a Synergy Pavilion focused on the Circular Carbon Economy, alongside programmes including the Energy Hackathon, Knowledge Sprint workshops and Young Professionals activities.
Discussions will address the continued role of oil and gas while examining efficiency, emissions management, technology and long-term energy resilience.
