Technology of Petroleum Services (TPS) was honoured at the ECITB Training and Development Awards in London, winning the Middle East and Caspian regional title for International Training Organisation of the Year.

Recognised for its high-quality Mechanical Joint Integrity (MJI) training and strong advocacy of ECITB standards in Saudi Arabia, TPS has been delivering accredited MJI training since 2023 and recently added ECITB on-site machining programmes.

Operating in Dammam since 2005, the company is deeply involved in pipeline construction and provides advanced tools, solutions and training for the energy and industrial sectors.

Mutahir Zaib, Operations Manager, said: “It is amazing and exciting that we won the award. It’s a big achievement for us and we really appreciate it. It has been a great honour for TPS to be involved with ECITB Global in the last two years. We would like to thank ECITB for all its support since 2023 and for the opportunity to visit London for these awards.”

Andrew Hockey, ECITB Chief Executive, added: “It fills me with great hope to see commitment to skills development showcased throughout industry, in Great Britain and globally, in the inspiring entries we received this year for the awards. Congratulations to TPS, as well as our other winners and finalists, who are great examples of these success stories over the past year and set standards to which we all aspire.”

Abdul Razzak Shaikh, TPS Sales Manager, said: “Working with the ECITB has been excellent and given us international recognition. Being a brand ambassador of ECITB in Saudi Arabia has helped us a lot. It has also given us a roadmap in terms of the guidelines for the different steps of the MJI model, which plays a significant role in teaching technicians and has been really beneficial. Being manufacturers of hydraulic torqueing tools as well as one of the ECITB’s licensed training providers, we have an edge when we compare with other training providers, suppliers or service providers in the market.”
