EnerMech has secured a five-year contract to deliver integrated mechanical, electrical and instrumentation (ME&I) maintenance services at Ampol’s Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, Australia.
The award represents a significant step up of operations from its existing contract, positioning EnerMech as one of Ampol’s major ME&I service partners.
The new agreement builds on an established relationship, following three years of service delivery at the site.
Under the expanded scope EnerMech will combine its existing electrical and instrumentation services with mechanical services – including scaffolding and rope access – to provide a comprehensive ME&I maintenance solution across routine operations and future shutdowns, supporting safe, reliable and efficient refinery performance.
The ramp up reflects a major increase in on-site resources, from 19 electrical personnel to a multi-discipline team of 50 personnel.
Located in Queensland, the Lytton Refinery is one of Australia’s major remaining refining assets.
Operational since 1965, it plays a role in the country’s fuel supply chain, producing essential petroleum products and supporting regional economic activity.
Charles Davison, EnerMech CEO, said: “This contract builds on the strong work our team has already successfully delivered for Ampol and expands our support with an integrated ME&I maintenance offering. It demonstrates our team’s ability to deliver safely and reliably at scale on one of Australia’s key refining assets.
He added: “We are very proud of our local Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions team and look forward to supporting Ampol’s ongoing maintenance and future operational objectives over the next five years, reinforcing EnerMech’s role as a trusted long-term service partner.”
Jason Jeow, EnerMech’s Vice President, Asia Pacific, said: “As we amplify our support, keeping our safety culture front and center remains our top priority. Our focus is on delivering integrated ME&I maintenance services that support operational reliability and enable effective planning for future activities. Working closely with Ampol’s on-site teams, we will apply disciplined execution, proactive maintenance and strong safety leadership to support the continued performance of the Lytton Refinery.” -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
