STATS Group has entered a strategic partnership with Patriot International to distribute its mechanical pipe connectors and localised hydrostatic weld testing tools across six European markets: the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Spain.
The agreement expands STATS’ presence beyond its existing
Scandinavian distribution network and strengthens its reach in mainland Europe.
Patriot will stock STATS’ product range in the Netherlands
and Belgium, improving supply efficiency by reducing shipping times and costs
while enhancing service responsiveness and sustainability for pipeline
customers.
The technology portfolio includes weld test tools, internal
and external pipe end plugs, and mechanical pipe connectors.
These solutions offer safer and more efficient alternatives
to traditional methods, reducing the need for flooding, hydrotesting, and
dewatering pipelines, thereby minimising downtime.
STATS’ inline weld test tool improves shutdown efficiency by
acting as a vapour barrier during hot work and later enabling leak testing of
new joints.
Mechanical pipe connectors further support cold work by
eliminating welding requirements, reducing maintenance time and costs for
pipeline repair, tie-ins, and decommissioning projects.
Mike Kaiser, STATS business development manager Europe,
said: “Patriot has an excellent reputation as a reliable rental and services
provider in the European pipeline market and this agreement is a natural fit
with STATS ambitions to grow our reputation and revenue across the continent.”
He added: “Rules and regulations in the sector are changing
and end-users are keen to have access to our advanced technology which
addresses issues raised with traditional methods conducted during routine
pipeline maintenance and modification”
He concluded: “We have a responsibility to meet that market
demand and our alliance with Patriot will help us introduce our technology to a
wider European client base, benefiting both companies and our respective
clients.”
Myles Campbell, Patriot International managing director, added: “This agreement will give STATS a firm footprint in mainland Europe with the ability to deliver its products straight to the market with the benefit of Patriot specialist personnel being on hand to oversee correct application. This presents a significant opportunity for both companies to introduce innovative product and service solutions to a market that demands real value in terms of cost, time and resource.” -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
