Clariant has appointed Gapuma Group, a London-based international commodities and specialty chemicals trading company, as a distributor for its Well Service Additives (WSA) portfolio across Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana.
The partnership strengthens Clariant’s market reach in West
Africa by combining Gapuma’s regional distribution network with Clariant’s
portfolio of specialty chemical solutions.
Under the agreement, Gapuma will distribute Clariant’s WSA
products, including the HOSTADRILL, HOSTAMER and HOSTASTIM product families,
supporting drilling, cementing, stimulation and deliquification applications.
"Gapuma Group's strong customer relationships and
regional expertise provide an important opportunity to further extend access to
Clariant's Well Service Additives portfolio across West Africa," said
George Nunes, Head of Clariant Oil Services. "This partnership advances
our route-to-market strategy in a region where we see growing demand for
upstream well service solutions. Through our Wholesale channel, we can reach
service companies and formulators who may not typically engage with Clariant
through our direct operator business, supporting our ambition to serve a
broader customer base while bringing Clariant's specialty chemistry closer to
customers across the region."
Jack Bardakjian, Gapuma Group Founder and CEO, said:
"To be appointed by Clariant is something we regard as both an honour and
a responsibility. Clariant is one of the great names in speciality chemicals,
and a company of that standing does not choose its partners lightly. Nor do we
take the trust on lightly.” -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
