Nizwa Industrial City, affiliated with Oman’s Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), has signed a long-term investment usufruct contract for a chemical mixing and oilfield equipment maintenance project valued at more than RO4 million ($10.4 million).

The project will cover over 25,000 square metres and is expected to strengthen industrial activities supporting Oman’s oil and gas sector, while localising specialised services and boosting in-country value and economic activity in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate.

The agreement was signed by Abdullah Al Balushi, Director General of Nizwa Industrial City, and Mohammed Al Junaibi on behalf of Rabou Haima Trading and Contracting Company, which will execute the project.

Al Balushi said the development represents a specialised addition to Nizwa Industrial City and will help create jobs while diversifying industrial activity in the governorate.

During the first half of 2026, Nizwa Industrial City signed more than 17 investment contracts covering over 50,000 square metres, with combined investments exceeding RO12 million.

The projects span medical supplies, oil and gas equipment maintenance, plastics, iron, metals and chemicals.

The industrial city currently has more than 6,100 workers, with Omanisation exceeding 45 per cent, according to Al Balushi. -TradeArabia News Service
