Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has signed a joint programme with the Education Development Organisation to drill 37 solar-powered wells in N’Djamena and other regions of Chad.

The project will provide clean drinking water for communities and livestock, helping address the country’s severe water shortage and reduce deaths and diseases linked to contaminated water.

It is expected to directly benefit 46,500 people.

The initiative forms part of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian efforts through KSrelief to support water and sanitation services in vulnerable countries, strengthen water security and reduce pollution-related diseases. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
