Trinasolar has received a Silver Medal in the EcoVadis 2026 Sustainability Rating, placing it among the top 10 per cent of companies assessed globally.

The solar and energy storage solutions provider scored 77/100 overall, with its strongest results recorded in Environment at 80 points and Ethics at 79.

Trinasolar is the only photovoltaic module manufacturer to have participated in the EcoVadis assessment for 12 consecutive years. Its evaluation covered environmental performance, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

The company has developed a sustainability framework based on its SOLAR concept and has set a target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

It is implementing sustainability initiatives across its operations, including a smart micro-grid green charging station at the Chongming Dongtan Birds National Nature Reserve in Shanghai.

The off-grid facility operates on a self-generation and self-consumption model, providing electricity for patrol vehicles while supporting the integration of renewable energy with ecological conservation.

Trinasolar also participates in the United Nations Global Compact and the Global Solar Sustainable Alliance, working with international and cross-sector partners to support clean-energy deployment.

Separately, TÜV Rheinland awarded the company an AA rating for photovoltaic supply chain traceability, covering the supply chain from polysilicon through to finished modules.

 The rating is the highest available under the assessment and reflects supply chain transparency and traceability.
