Marine solutions specialist Ecocoast has been appointed by Xylem as its Authorised Systems and Service Partner for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), strengthening the company’s environmental monitoring offering across the region.
The partnership will integrate Xylem’s YSI and Aanderaa
sensing technologies into Ecocoast’s marine monitoring systems for clients in
the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
Xylem instruments will be integrated with Ecocoast’s
configurable data buoy platforms to provide continuous, real-time environmental
intelligence for marine and coastal applications.
The systems combine water quality, oceanographic and
meteorological monitoring, helping operators detect oil spills and other
emergencies earlier than traditional manual sampling and laboratory testing.
The solutions are designed for ports, marinas, coastal
developments, offshore operations, environmental compliance programmes and
marine research.
Ecocoast has already deployed Xylem technology across the
region.
At a water and power plant on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast,
it assembled, configured, tested and commissioned a YSI DB1750 Multi Purpose
Metocean Buoy equipped with an LDI ROW oil spill sensor and Campbell Scientific
logger with cellular telemetry.
Data is streamed live
to Xylem’s YSI HydroSphere platform.
A similar system was delivered for a major Dubai water
utility.
With facilities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Ecocoast will
provide regional integration, deployment, maintenance and technical support.
The company has also undertaken sensor repairs, buoy reconfiguration and annual maintenance and calibration services for clients in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
