ADIPEC 2026 is set to welcome its strongest-ever participation from Asia, with 353 companies and six national pavilions from China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea joining the event in Abu Dhabi from November 2-5.

Hosted by ADNOC under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, the event will bring together more than 2,250 exhibitors across 16 halls and 30 international pavilions.

Asian companies will showcase technologies, infrastructure solutions and industrial capabilities across the global energy value chain.

Asia will also feature prominently in ADIPEC’s conference programme, with senior executives from across the region among more than 1,800 confirmed speakers.

Participating companies include Sinopec, CNPC, CNOOC, Petronas, PTTEP, INPEX, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsui, GS Energy Corporation, CATL, Envision Energy and Bajaj Power Equipments.

Asia’s growing role in global energy markets comes as the region is expected to account for a significant share of worldwide energy demand growth over the coming decades.

China is forecast to represent close to half of global electricity demand growth through 2030, while India is expected to remain the largest contributor to global energy demand growth through 2035.

Southeast Asia is projected to account for around a quarter of global energy demand growth during the same period as industrialisation, urbanisation and digitalisation accelerate.

The resulting demand is expected to require substantial investment in energy supply, electricity generation, infrastructure and more resilient energy systems, particularly as data-centre capacity and digital economies expand.

Confirmed Asian speakers include Wang Yuetao, Chairman of ZhenHua Oil; Takayuki Ueda, Representative Director, President & CEO of INPEX; Rajarshi Gupta, MD & CEO of ONGC Videsh; Prof. Haruhiko Ando, CEO of Japan Cooperation Centre for Petroleum and Sustainable Energy; Charlotte Wolff-Bye, VP & Group Chief Sustainability Officer at Petronas; Prashant Ruia, Group CEO of Essar Group; and Koji Yamamoto, CTO and Senior Councilor of JOGMEC.

The conference agenda will address several issues directly relevant to Asia’s energy requirements.

The Natural Gas & LNG programme will examine supply diversification, contracting, market access, shipping and regasification capacity for import-dependent Asian markets.

The Grids, Infrastructure & Industrial Execution programme will focus on generation, transmission, storage and infrastructure needed to support industrial, urban and digital expansion.

Meanwhile, the Finance & Investment programme will examine ways to mobilise capital for Asia’s growing infrastructure pipeline and move projects from planning to delivery.

The Maritime & Logistics programme will focus on ports, fleets and shipping routes connecting global energy producers with Asian buyers, while the AI, Digital & Technology Innovation programme will explore artificial intelligence, automation and advanced analytics in energy systems, alongside the rising power requirements of data centres.

New Leadership Dialogues will further examine regional priorities, including a session titled ‘Asia’s power squeeze: integrating renewables and gas in high-growth power systems’ and a Boardroom Roundtable on ‘The new technology frontier: Asia’s role in shaping global innovation’.
