More than 70 ministers, some 300 CEOs and senior executives, and leaders from over 25 global energy organisations will attend the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh from October 11 to 15, 2026.

The Congress is held under the theme “Pathways to an Energy Future for All”, a Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report said.

The congress will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, investors and technology executives from around the world to address key issues shaping the future of energy, including security and reliability of supply, global markets and investment, technological innovation, sustainability and workforce development.

Closer cooperation

These meetings and engagements come at a time when closer cooperation across the global energy sector is increasingly important, creating opportunities for industry leaders, investors and technology developers to advance practical solutions, build partnerships, mobilise investment and strengthen international cooperation.

The events kick off with Saudi Arabia hosting the 17th International Energy Forum Ministerial Meeting (IEF17). Energy ministers, industry leaders and heads of international organisations will discuss energy security, market stability and investment, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between energy-producing and consuming countries.

The Saudi Ministry of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, will host a series of major international and regional energy meetings.

The Ministry of Energy will also host the 17th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM17) and the 11th Mission Innovation Ministerial (MI-11) from October 11 to 13, bringing together ministers and senior officials from major economies, business leaders, international organisations, and research and innovation institutions. 

Real-world application at scale.

Discussions will focus on accelerating the development and deployment of energy technologies and solutions, and moving innovation from development to real-world application at scale.

As part of the wider series of international meetings, Riyadh will also host the 16th Session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity, alongside specialised Arab meetings, high-level workshops and events covering regional cooperation, investment and advanced technologies.

Beyond the ministerial meetings and high-level industry discussions, the programme will feature dedicated activities for youth and young professionals, women in energy, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as sessions on AI & digitalisation, emerging technologies and talent development. The wider program will also include technical forums, workshops, innovation challenges and the accompanying international exhibition.

The technical forums and international exhibition will offer a closer look at the technologies and solutions shaping the energy sector, creating a space for specialists, young professionals and entrepreneurs to engage directly with industry leaders, experts and innovators.—TradeArabia News Service
