Framo secures four-year Petrobras service contract covering 30 FPSOs

Framo, a marine and industrial pump expert, has signed a four-year service agreement with Petrobras covering pumping systems across approximately 30 floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSOs), marking the company’s largest service contract of its kind to date.

The agreement comes as Framo’s installed base in Brazil is expected to exceed 1,500 pumps by 2028.

Signed during ROG.e 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, the agreement covers inspection, maintenance and training for Framo pumps across Petrobras’ fleet, including seawater lift, firewater, cargo and water injection systems.

The contract introduces a structured service programme featuring annual inspections, maintenance and training.

Morten Sivertsen, Director, Framo Services Offshore, said: “This agreement represents a significant step in how we support Petrobras across the lifecycle of its equipment. Rather than looking at individual service requirements in isolation, we will be working across a large fleet under a structured programme covering inspection, maintenance and training. With more FPSOs entering the Brazilian market and the Framo installed base continuing to grow, having the right competence and service capacity locally will become increasingly important.” -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
