TotalEnergies and global investment firm KKR have signed an agreement to add 700 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity to their 50/50 US joint venture established in 2025, expanding its portfolio from 1.4 gigawatts (GW) to 2.1 GW.
The deal covers three utility-scale solar projects in Texas
and Ohio, expected to begin commercial operations by the first quarter of 2027.
Electricity generated by the assets has been sold to third
parties or will be marketed by TotalEnergies.
The portfolio carries an enterprise value of $1.2 billion.
Completion is expected in 2026, subject to customary
conditions, with TotalEnergies continuing to operate the assets. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
