Applus+ in Saudi Arabia has completed specialised tube inspection services for the Train 2 Turnaround 2025 at Jubail Industrial City 2, supporting a major oil and gas client during a critical maintenance period.
The project focused on maintaining equipment integrity,
operational reliability and safety ahead of the facility’s return to service.
Turnaround operations require precise planning and execution within strict
timelines, with advanced inspection techniques helping identify potential
defects in heat exchanger tubes and other critical components.
Applus+ deployed a team of qualified, client-approved
specialists to conduct inspections using Full Saturation Eddy Current Testing
(FSECT), Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL), Eddy Current Testing (ECT) and Internal
Rotating Inspection System (IRIS).
The work was completed in accordance with safety and
operational requirements, recording zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI) across 17,148
consecutive safe working hours.
All personnel completed turnaround-specific health, safety,
security and environmental (HSSE) inductions and safety training. Daily safety
briefings and toolbox talks were also conducted throughout the project.
According to Applus+, the successful completion demonstrates
its technical capabilities in delivering complex shutdown and turnaround
projects within the oil and gas sector.
The project also reinforces the company’s presence in Saudi
Arabia’s industrial market, supporting asset integrity, maintenance efficiency
and operational continuity across key facilities. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
