Background
As part of the South East Full Field Development, which includes the development of Asab Sahil, Qusahwira and Mender oil fields, Adnoc Onshore is currently undertaking the development of the Qusahwira field. The said oilfield is located approximately 260 km south of Abu Dhabi and covers an area of 7,525 sq km. Phase 2 project of Qusahwira oilfield will add 25,000 bpd to its current output. It is part of the South East Asset, which contributes approximately one-third of daily production. The project intends to deploy EOR techniques in order to maintain the targeted production plateau as long as possible.
Project Status
As of October 2021, construction works are still being carried out at the site with overall completion scheduled for Q1 2022.
Project Scope
The project's scope includes new gas injection compressors, new main oil line (MOL) booster pumps, water-disposal pumps, new water-alternating gas (WAG) wells, flowlines and flow meters, production separators, associated facilities, 75 wells, 24 well pads, gas injection compressors, 3 gathering stations, 3 water injection clusters, and major modification to the CDS.
