Aston ... strategic counsel

Turner & Townsend, the global programme management and construction consultancy, has appointed Andy Aston as senior vice president of Natural Resources for North America.

Previously the director of Natural Resources for Asia, Aston has worked for Turner & Townsend for three years, playing a pivotal role in programmes in both the natural resources and infrastructure sectors globally.

Based in Houston, he will provide strategic counsel to a range of global clients in order to consistently deliver great outcomes for them and their capital assets. He will also focus on building the consultancy’s profile, and expanding its footprint in North America.

Andy Aston, senior vice president of natural resources for Turner & Townsend in North America, commented: “This region has the largest energy client base in the world and I am delighted to be joining a team of leaders and experts with a track record of delivering excellence.

“Having achieved three years of consistent growth in Asia, I am ready for the next challenge and will draw on my major programme experience and knowledge of the natural resources sector worldwide to drive the business forward across the Americas, winning new and supporting existing clients.”

Graham Thomson, chairman of natural resources at Turner & Townsend, added: “This strategic appointment is another step towards Turner & Townsend becoming a trusted name in the natural resources sector in North America.

“As an independent consultancy, Turner & Townsend prides itself on its ability to efficiently set up and execute projects and programmes, and to respond seamlessly to constantly shifting circumstances. I have no doubt Andy will continue to be a great ambassador of our ethos.

“In response to the recent drop in spend by oil and gas companies, Turner & Townsend is deploying its combination of global expertise, together with its local knowledge to help clients secure greater capital efficiency and predictability within their existing and future programmes.”
