China is expanding energy diplomacy in Africa

The 3rd edition of the Oman Corrosion and Materials Innovation Summit (OMCORR25) aims to serve as a central platform for technological transformation and scientific collaboration by uniting industry leaders and innovative thinkers in the fields of materials science, engineering, industrial innovation, and corrosion management.

It is set to take place from September 15 to 17, 2025, at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.

hosted by the AMPP Oman Chapter and presented in strategic partnership with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the summit is also supported by the Oman Society of Engineers (OSE). It is dedicated to exploring the vital role of corrosion science and materials protection in enhancing the operational excellence and resilience of our critical infrastructure.

The summit will delve into corrosion mechanisms, innovative materials, advanced coatings, and mitigation strategies that significantly extend the lifespan of critical assets across various industries. With over 90 speakers, 630 delegates, and more than 45 exhibitors, the event promises a comprehensive exploration of pressing challenges and innovative solutions.

Corrosion poses a major threat to most critical assets, representing a significant global economic crisis with losses amounting to trillions of dollars annually. Industries worldwide grapple with substantial maintenance and repair expenses, unanticipated operational disruptions, and infrastructure safety compromises.

Attendees will have numerous opportunities to connect with industry peers and thought leaders, participate in discussions led by renowned speakers, and discover groundbreaking technologies.

The summit will also cover the latest research on materials, coatings, and corrosion prevention techniques, ensuring participants are well-informed about codes, standards, and regulatory changes.
