IFS, a provider of Industrial AI software, has launched IFS Zero, an agentic emissions operating system (OS) designed for asset-intensive industries to measure, disclose and optimise carbon emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 categories.
The platform provides a unified emissions calculation system aimed at replacing fragmented, manual processes that often slow sustainability reporting.
Developed in consultation with industrial customers, IFS Zero is designed to deliver real-time carbon intelligence and support the shift from emissions reporting to active reduction.
IFS Zero integrates with the company’s broader Sustainability Management module, which serves as a central hub for corporate sustainability data, including emissions, social impact and diversity metrics.
While the wider module supports enterprise-wide reporting, IFS Zero focuses specifically on detailed carbon management for industrial operations.
The system uses agentic AI across the data lifecycle, including mapping emissions sources, validating inputs, detecting anomalies and generating audit-ready outputs. According to IFS, this reduces administrative workload, enabling sustainability teams to focus more on decarbonisation efforts.
Early estimates suggest the system can create audit-ready baselines within weeks, save hundreds of operational hours annually and reduce data collection efforts by up to 30 per cent.
IFS said the platform addresses long-standing challenges in emissions management, including fragmented data and time-intensive reporting processes.
It also supports faster decision-making by enabling organisations to analyse emissions data and act in near real time.
Caitlin Keam, VP Manufacturing and Sustainability Applications, IFS, said: “With IFS Zero, we’re fundamentally changing how industrial companies approach emissions management. For too long, sustainability has meant slow deployments, manual spreadsheets, and reporting after the fact. IFS Zero replaces that with an agentic operating system that delivers an emissions baseline in short timescales and enables visibility into your day-to-day operations. It allows customers to move beyond compliance and start using sustainability as a true strategic advantage.”
