TotalEnergies has unveiled MethaneLive, a global methane monitoring centre using real-time data, sensors, and advanced algorithms to detect and reduce emissions. 

In 2025, the company deployed 13,000 sensors across its operated upstream sites, enabling continuous monitoring. 

Since early 2026, the system has identified 35 fugitive leaks, supporting targeted repairs. 

The platform integrates digital tools and emerging AI to improve detection, align with its 2030 near-zero methane emissions goal, and strengthen environmental performance.
