SigenAgent turns solar and storage into autonomous platforms

Sigenergy has introduced SigenAgent, described as the energy industry’s first all-domain AI agent, marking a shift in how households and businesses manage renewable energy systems.

SigenAgent transforms solar and storage hardware from reactive systems into autonomous, goal-driven platforms capable of independently managing energy operations based on user-defined objectives.

The system operates through a continuous cycle of perception, reasoning and action, using real-time inputs such as weather conditions, electricity prices and grid data to determine optimal energy strategies.

Users set high-level goals, such as reducing costs or ensuring backup power, while the AI executes the required operational decisions.

SigenAgent includes four core functions. The Energy Manager automates system optimisation, the System Doctor provides instant diagnostics and fault detection, the Power Trader optimises participation in dynamic electricity markets and virtual power plants, and the Business Assistant integrates enterprise data to support operational decision-making.

Sigenergy said the platform is built on a hardware foundation supporting more than 200,000 global power stations, using integrated sensing and high-speed communication networks. Existing systems can access the new AI functions through over-the-air updates.

The company emphasised strict safety and governance controls, including user approval for critical actions, localised data storage across multiple global data centres, offline operational resilience and full transparency of AI decision-making processes.

SigenAgent is also designed for ease of use across digital platforms, including messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram.
