Motive Offshore Group (Motive) has acquired subsea cable monitoring and integrity technology provider C-Kore, strengthening its global testing, inspection and certification (TIC) capabilities and expanding its technology-driven service offering.
The acquisition is expected to increase the contribution of Motive’s Certification & Inspection division to around 35 per cent of total company turnover, while adding dedicated research and development expertise and proprietary intellectual property to the business.
C-Kore specialises in subsea testing and measurement technologies used in cable fault-finding, installation and decommissioning.
Its automated testing tools enable faster and more efficient fault detection and installation operations, helping reduce vessel usage and personnel costs.
The company serves the global subsea cable market and is well positioned to support growth in offshore wind and decommissioning sectors.
Following the acquisition, C-Kore will continue operating from its headquarters in Yorkshire under the leadership of Greg Smith, Operations Director and Cynthia Pikaar, Sales and Marketing Director.
Motive said the deal aligns with its long-term growth strategy by enhancing its inspection and certification capabilities while broadening its portfolio of specialised technologies for the offshore energy industry.
