The Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has launched a €600 million ($679 million) call for proposals to support key cross-border EU energy infrastructure projects, including CO2 networks and hydrogen initiatives.
The Connecting Europe Facility for Energy (CEF-E) programme is one of the key enablers at the EU level contributing to accelerating the deployment of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) initiatives in the region.
The first list of PCIs and PMIs was adopted by the European Commission in November 2023 and published in the Official Journal of the European Union on April 8, 2024.
The call for proposals will be presented during the CEF Energy info day on May 22, 2025, and interested project proponents can submit their applications by September 16, 2025.
